About Bridges to Art Therapy Research:

Thank-you for your interest in “Bridges to Art Therapy: Art Therapy Assessment Research with Childhood Cancer Survivors.” Those of you who were treated at Georgetown may have taken part in our Art Therapy Program during your treatment or follow-up visits. If this is your first experience with Art Therapy, be assured that you don’t need any special interest or talent in art to take part: only a spirit of willingness and curiosity.

Your participation in this study will do two things: help us better understand how cancer survivors are doing, and help us refine the tools in the Art Therapists’ toolbox. We hope to help healthcare professionals learn new ways to “work smarter” to help young people get better, cope with treatment, and move on to fulfilling lives after cancer. You will be asked to respond to some art directives using the markers and colored pencils provided, and in the order specified, and to complete some short pencil and paper questionnaires.
